Through cottonisation, we bring one of the world’s oldest textile fibres to modern spinning.
Product Overview & Applications
Cottonised flax is flax fibre processed to properties comparable to cotton in length and processability. This allows it to run efficiently on cotton spinning systems and to be blended with other fibres.
Through careful raw material selection and precise processing, we deliver consistent quality adapted to customer specifications.
Production process
Cottonising starts with the fibre itself. In our own production units, we carefully select flax fibres based on fineness, colour and quality, as this forms the foundation of the final product. Through a series of specialised processing steps, the fibres are opened, refined and brought to a controlled length, giving them cotton-like characteristics while preserving the natural qualities of flax. The result is a homogeneous fibre that processes efficiently in spinning and blends well with other fibres.
